In Parternship with Department of Public Safety, Douglas County CSB trains law enforcement officer effectively and humanely to interact with persons dealing with mental illness and/or developmental disability; through a 40 hours, 5 day course, approved by the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Counsel (POST). Year to date, Douglas County CSB under the direction of Sandra Williams, LPC has provided over 200 hours of this training to Douglas, Dekalb, Fulton and Henry County Officers. Ms. Williams also served as the SME (Subject-Matter Expert) for the development of the 2023 CIT curriculum for the state of Georgia.
